I think it’s kind of complicated. Yes, there are public stances that come from various parts of the organisational hierarchy. No, not all Catholics agree with all the stances that come from the various parts of the hierarchy. There is often disagreement from one group to another about things. I know Catholic priests who believe that women should be able to be priests and that gay people should be allowed to get married - and would marry them, even if it’s not legally binding (they believe it’s as “holy” as any other marriage anyway).

I guess it’s kind of like saying all Americans believe in the every aspect of the constitution…. kind of.

Also - I don’t think there is Christian privilege everywhere in the world - I think it’s largely a US thing… it’s not a thing where I live.
